Parenting the Anxious Child

Parenting the Anxious Child can be daunting and debilitating.  At least ten percent of children have excessive fears and worries—phobias, separation anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, or obsessive-compulsive disorder—that can hold them back and keep them from fully enjoying childhood. If your child suffers from any of these forms of anxiety, this workshop is for you.

With Dr. Michael Johnson, MD and Dr. Jan Snyder, we will discuss the do’s and don’ts of how to handle children when they are anxious.  We will also use the tools of mindfulness and acceptance, which can teach children with anxiety, skills they can use throughout their lives.
